Passive Replace on the PICRAT grid: Passive row, Replace columnCIPRAT Passive Replace

Year 9 are studying river landforms and need a clear model of the processes before annotating diagrams. The teacher shows a short educational clip from YouTube, checked in advance, on the board on how waterfalls and meanders form, pausing after each landform. At each pause students note the processes in their books: undercutting of soft rock beneath hard rock, the plunge pool and the gorge that forms as the waterfall retreats, then erosion on the outside of a bend and deposition on the inside. They then draw and annotate a four-stage diagram of how an oxbow lake forms from their notes, and the teacher checks it against a model diagram at the end.
