During a lino-printing project on natural forms, students photograph their work on a school tablet at six points: the first drawing, the design transferred to the lino, the first cuts, a test print, the second round of cuts and the final print. In a 40-minute session at the end of the project, each student puts the six photographs in order in PowerPoint, one slide per stage. Under each they write one sentence explaining the decision they made at that stage, for example cutting away more background after the test print came out too dark. The file is handed in through the school's assignment system alongside the finished print.
