The teacher prepares a FigJam board with one blank football pitch per student and sets the scenario: your team is 1-0 up with five minutes left and the opposition are throwing players forward. Students drag player counters into a formation and add a sticky note explaining how it protects the lead, for example dropping to a back five or keeping one striker high to relieve pressure. The teacher zooms out across the board, groups the pitches by approach during the lesson, and asks one student from each group to argue for their choice. Students finish by noting the formation they would use and one risk it carries, ready to test in the next practical lesson.
