Year 9 are revising data representation before a GCSE-style assessment in two weeks. The teacher shares a view-only Google Doc of worked examples: on each page, a fully worked conversion on the left and a matching question on the right, covering binary to denary, denary to binary, binary to hexadecimal by splitting into nibbles, and hexadecimal back to denary. Students work through the pages on their iPads at their own pace, reading each worked example and then doing the matching question in their books. The teacher circulates, and in the last ten minutes reads out the answers so students mark their own work and note which conversion type they got wrong most often.
