Year 8 German are working on school subjects and opinions. The teacher plays a five-minute section of a slow-speech podcast for German learners, in which two speakers compare their school days, from their own account through the classroom speakers; students do not log in, because Spotify accounts are for over-13s. The class listens once for gist and a second time to answer six questions in their books about subjects, times and opinions, such as which subject each speaker finds langweilig. The teacher goes through the answers, and students then write four sentences about their own timetable using weil with the verb at the end.
