Year 8 French are working on daily routine and reflexive verbs. The teacher pre-teaches three new verbs on the board (se réveiller, se brosser les dents, se coucher), then shares a 250-word text as a view-only Google Doc in which a teenager from Lyon describes a school day. Students read it on their iPads for ten minutes, using the short glossary at the bottom of the doc. They then answer five comprehension questions in English and three in French in their books, and list every reflexive verb in the text. The teacher goes through the answers aloud and students mark their own work.
