Year 3 are learning how many Hindus worship at a shrine at home. After the teacher has shown a real puja tray and explained each item, pairs open a Seesaw activity with a photograph of the tray and eight labels to drag into place: the murti, the diva lamp, the bell, incense, kumkum powder, water, flowers and food offered as prasad. Beside each label they add its purpose from a word bank, such as the bell rung to show the worshipper is ready and focus the mind, the kumkum used for the tilak mark, and the prasad offered to the deity, then shared. The teacher reviews each pair's journal post after the lesson and marks it as the class worksheet was marked. Children are not asked about worship in their own homes.
