Year 11 are revising the crisis of 1923 for Edexcel's Weimar and Nazi Germany paper. On school-approved accounts, each student asks Gemini the same question and pastes the answer into a Google Doc table, one claim per row. They test every claim against the source pack: the 1921 London Schedule of Payments setting reparations at 132 billion gold marks, a French account of the occupation of the Ruhr in January 1923, a government notice calling for passive resistance, and a table of the mark's exchange rate against the dollar from 1914 to November 1923. Each row is marked supported, contradicted or not in the evidence, with the source that settles it. In the last fifteen minutes students compare tables with a neighbour whose answer from Gemini was worded differently, and the class lists the claims the sources could not support and decides how far an AI explanation can be trusted as a revision source.
