The teacher gives students a pack of ten short sources on climate change, ranging from an IPCC summary and a Met Office dataset to a newspaper opinion column, a campaign leaflet and an unsourced social media post. In a Microsoft Forms Likert question, each student rates every source as high, medium or low reliability, then writes a one-line reason for the source they found hardest to judge. The teacher projects the live summary, finds the three sources where the class is most split, and runs a short discussion on each using the reasons students gave. Students finish by writing three criteria for judging a climate source, drawn from the discussion.
