Over two lessons students plan and record a review. In the first they write a 90-second script: a thesis about the novel, two short quotations with a line of analysis each, a comment on who should read it, and a closing verdict. In the second they record in GarageBand, retaking lines until the delivery is clear, then add a quiet music bed from GarageBand's loop library and lower its volume so the voice stays on top. The choice of music has to be justified in one sentence, for example a sparse acoustic guitar loop for the loneliness of the ranch. Finished files are handed in through the school's assignment system and played within the class, never on a public podcast feed.
