Each student has already written a short Python class for a practice task, a library loans system that issues and returns books, which is not part of their NEA. They paste their code into their own page of a shared class Google Doc, and two named peers add comments on specific lines about structure, naming and unhandled edge cases such as returning a book that was never issued. Writers then fix the flagged lines in Replit and run the teacher's six test cases, recording how many pass before and after the review. The teacher reads across the comments and shows the class the two edge cases most reviews missed. NEA code is never shared or reviewed by peers, in line with exam-board rules on independent work.
