The teacher shares a Google Doc containing a 600-word extract arguing that the growth of Bangladesh's garment industry shows globalisation reducing poverty, including a paragraph on the 2013 Rana Plaza collapse. Students add comments to the lines they find most and least convincing, starting each comment with C or U and giving a reason drawn from their own case-study knowledge. They then reply to at least two classmates' comments that disagree with theirs. The teacher scrolls to the lines with the longest threads and runs the plenary from those, finishing with students writing a one-paragraph judgement on the extract's argument in their notes.
