Each student chooses an issue from a teacher-approved list (the gender pay gap, single-use plastics, AI in schools) and plans a thesis, two supporting claims, a counterclaim and a response. Over three lessons they build a Google Sites page that argues it, with a two-minute video explaining the thesis, links to two primary sources such as an ONS gender pay gap bulletin or a government consultation, and an argument map at the top made with the table of contents block, so each claim links to the section that proves it. Pages are shared within the school domain only, and students who prefer not to appear on camera record a voice-over on slides instead. In the final lesson each student reviews three classmates' pages against a rubric that checks whether every claim reaches its evidence and whether the counterclaim is answered.
