The teacher shares a fashion croquis (a simple figure template), which students import into Procreate and lock as the bottom layer. For a chosen user, such as teenagers at a summer music festival, each student draws three garment designs on separate layers above the same figure, hiding and showing layers to compare them. For their strongest design they duplicate the colour layer to try two colourways side by side, then add annotations on fabric, function and target market. They export one sheet with all three designs and both colourways, and write which colourway they would take forward and why.
