The teacher plays a 90-second German audio clip, such as a teenager describing a difficult move to a new town, three times. After each listen, students post one note to the matching Padlet column: gist after the first, tone after the second, and an inference with the words that support it after the third. The teacher projects the wall after each listen and adjusts what comes next: if the gist notes show the class has missed the main point, the next play is paused at the key sentence. Students end by answering two exam-style inference questions on the clip.
